Liam Payne who was formerly of the famous pop group, One Direction, died on the 16 th of October this year, after falling from the third floor balcony of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires. Local police said he is dead and there are possibilities that he died out of head injuries from the fall.

The Fall and Cause of Death

It is from this that Alberto Crescenti, head of emergency medical services in Buenos Aires, SAME, stated that Payne fell in the indoor internal yard of the hotel with grave injuries that finally claimed his life. According to an interview that Crescenti did with TN, a local Argentine news channel, Payne had injured the base of the skull when he fell. He said that when the paramedics came round about 5 p.m., there was no way they could help him out.

“He had injuries incompatible with life as a result of his fall,” Crescenti said to TN. The drop was calculated to be between 43 and 45 feet (13 to 14 metres) in the UK.

Circumstances that Preceded the Catastrophe

According to the ambulance men and nurses who reused Payne, and from a tape of a call to the 911 centre the staff of the hotel made minutes before the fall, Payne had been behaving very abnormally. In the call, as obtained by NBC news the hotel staff added that Payne was very much into drugs and alcohol and had been causing damages to his hotel room. The caller also expressed concerns about his safety due to the room’s balcony.

“We have a guest who is overindulged in drugs and alcohol. He’s breaking the whole room. We need someone to come, please,” the caller stated. In another audio clip, they added, “We are a little afraid that he might do something life threatening.”

Ongoing Investigation

An investigation is currently underway to determine the exact details of what led to Payne’s fall. Crescenti assured the audience that an autopsy of the man would be conducted in order to determine the cause of death.

Payne had been spending nights at the hotel for several days, and had gone to watch his ex-bandmate Niall Horan’s concert at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires earlier in the month with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy.

Remembering Liam Payne

Liam Payne was also 31 years of age at the time of his death. He is survived by his 7 year old son Bear Grey, he had with his former partner Cheryl, the Girls Aloud band. It was a well publicised fact that Payne had been preoccupied with several personal problems that included legal woes that seemed to have taken a toll on him leading to his demise.

This sad occurrence has traumatised the world and its fan base as they bury one of the best singers they had ever seen.
