Ticketmaster has just made a major announcement: It will be the first ticketing company to tap into new features on Apple Wallet that came with IOS 18.

What’s New in Apple Wallet?

With the latest Apple Wallet updates, Ticketmaster tickets now come with more than just event details. Tickets viewed in the Apple app can display extra info like:

• Venue Maps
• Parking Directions
• Local Weather Forecasts
• Apple Music Recommendations

Additionally, event venues and teams can add links to their apps or websites, making it even easier for customers to get the information they need all from their Apple Wallet ticket.

Starting with Sports in 2023

Ticketmaster is kicking things off by using this tech for two major sporting events in 2023. But this is just the beginning. The company plans to expand the use of these features to many more events in 2025.

Not Just Ticketmaster

While Ticketmaster is the first to roll out this exciting upgrade, the new features aren’t exclusive to them. It looks like Ticketmaster and Apple may have teamed up to promote the new Apple Wallet, considering Ticketmaster was featured in Apple’s PR images.

Other Apple Wallet Upgrades

The latest iOS 18 update brought more than just ticketing improvements. Apple Wallet now includes a Tap to Cash feature for faster money transfers. And while iOS 18 has already introduced some cool features, the big launch of Apple Intelligence is expected to happen later in October.
